len()方法返回字符串的长度。

语法

以下是len()方法的语法：


len( str )

此方法返回的字符串的长度。

下面的例子显示了len()方法的使用。


#!/usr/bin/python

str = "this is string example....wow!!!";

print "Length of the string: ", len(str);

当我们运行上面的程序，它会产生以下结果：


Length of the string:  32
